# The website assistant

> The chat on Growth websites that answers your visitors, the monthly AI allowance behind it, and why it never turns a lead away.

On Growth, your website has an assistant: a chat that answers your visitors' questions, right on your site. It comes with Growth websites only. You'll find it in **Site Manager**, under **Assistant**.

## Set it up

Open **Assistant**, then **Setup**. That's where you give it your notes and choose when it asks visitors for their details.

## What it answers from

- the pages of your website;
- the page the visitor is on;
- documents you've marked **Public**;
- your own notes, which come first.

### Listings

The assistant knows your own active listings, the deals where you represent the seller. It never searches the MLS. For any other home, it points visitors to your site's home search.

## Asking for details

The assistant asks visitors for their details on its own. You choose when:

- **Early:** after its first answer.
- **After it's helped** (the default): once it's been useful to the visitor.
- **Only when asked:** it waits for the visitor to ask to be contacted.

Details a visitor gives in the chat reach you like any other [lead from your site](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/where-your-leads-go).

## Take over a chat

In **Conversations**, you can take over a chat while it's happening and reply as yourself. When you're done, hand it back to the assistant. [Teammates](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/teammates) can take over a chat too.

## The website AI allowance

Your Growth website comes with an AI allowance each month. One allowance covers:

- the assistant's chats with your visitors;
- **Ask AI** in [the editor](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/the-editor);
- your [blog](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/blog) posts and [area guides](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/area-guides);
- the fixes your [SEO check](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/seo-check) drafts.

You see how much you've used as a percentage. We email you when you reach 80% and 100% of the month's allowance, and send a push notification too if you've turned those on. The allowance starts over on the 1st of each month, counted in UTC.

## When the allowance runs out

**Writing waits.** Blog posts, guides, SEO drafts and Ask AI wait for the 1st of next month, or for a pack.

**Your visitors keep their chat.** The assistant keeps answering for a while past the allowance. If a month runs well past it and there's no pack left, the assistant asks visitors for their details with your lead form instead, until the 1st. Either way, a lead is never turned away: their details reach you like any other [lead from your site](https://brokerandagent.com/help/websites/where-your-leads-go).

A daily safety limit also stops a sudden flood.

## Packs

## On Launch
