Your time zone

Every time you see and set is on one time zone, yours. How it's chosen, what happens when your computer is on another zone, and how to pin it.

Updated Oct 12, 2026

Every time you see and set, in every app, is on one time zone: yours. It works like the primary time zone in Google Calendar.

How it’s set#

The first time you sign in, your time zone is set from the device you signed in on. After that, it only changes when you say so.

When your computer is on another zone#

You choose how this works in Account → Profile:

  • Ask when my computer’s zone changes (the default). If the computer you’re on is set to another zone, the app asks, for example: “Your computer is on Pacific Time. Use Pacific Time, or keep Central Time?” If you keep yours, that browser remembers and doesn’t ask again.
  • Pinned. Pick a zone and you’re never asked. Good if you travel and want your times to stay on your home market’s clock.

What follows your time zone#

Everything with a time on it, on screen and off:

  • the times you see and set in the apps;
  • work that runs in the background for you;
  • the times in emails we send you;
  • what the AI assistant means by “today”.

What doesn’t, on purpose#

  • Blog posts are scheduled on your website’s own clock, the market it serves. The scheduler names that zone next to the time.
  • The website AI allowance starts over each month on UTC.
